For A Moment Of Need {poetry prompt}

Tonight I want to do something simple. Really simple. 3-step instructions are fun and helpful, but sometimes you just need a breather. Let's do a short prompt this week.

When my siblings and I were small children, we’d sometimes drive our mother to the edges of patience. She’d look up to the ceiling and cry out “Lord, give me strength!” And apparently her prayers were answered because we made it to adulthood. ;)

Your poetry prompt:

When you’re running out of patience, energy, or willpower, what do you need? It can be really helpful to have some fitting words to anchor you to the present. Eventually it becomes a signal to help calm you and guide you through the difficult moment you are facing.

Write a one-line prayer, mantra, or affirmation that is easy to remember and repeat. Memorize it and say it when you need that extra bit of strength to stay present in the challenge.

In this moment,

I have all I need:

And inner peace.

For more ideas:

There are many examples in the book of Psalms. “When I am afraid I put my trust in you.”* “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear.”** “He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge.”***

*Psalm 56:3; **Psalm 27:1; ***Psalm 91:4.
